‘Bello/Onoja second term a blessing for Kogites’

A politician from Ibaji local government area of Kogi state and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi east, Engr. Ibrahim John Ocheje, has said that the inauguration of Governor Yahaya Bello and  his deputy, Chief Edward Onoja, for the second term was a huge blessing for Kogites.

Ocheje stated this in his congratulatory message to Governor Yahaya Bello and his deputy Chief Edward Onoja in Lokoja during their inauguration on Monday at the Government House.

He said the governor’s second term “will be eventful,” adding that the state government “will consolidate on its achievements.”

“It is evident the commitments so far made by His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, and his deputy, Chief Edward Onoja, in the areas of youth development and women empowerment. This administration has shown its determination to better the lives of the people of the state who had suffered neglects overtime,” he said.

Speaking further, he appealed to state government to give attention to Ibaji roads, noting that the perennial problems of Ibaji people had been poor state of their roads.

“The Ibaji problems of poor roads and flood-related environmental conditions are far beyond issues, but a phenomenon; I, therefore, urge the government to give them the required attention.”

Ocheje urged the people to support the Governor Bello-led government to enable it to deliver the dividends democratic governance to them, even as he

appealed to the state government to consider more Ibaji sons and daughters in his new cabinet.
