Benue: PDP governorship candidate a misfit – Wuhe

Candidate on the platform of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), Ambassador Philip Wuhe, has taken a swipe at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue, saying the party has failed and has nothing to warrant anyone to vote it again.

Wuhe also described the governorship candidate of the PDP, who is also Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly as a misfit for the state number one seat.

He noted that he has done nothing all the years he spent in the Assembly representing Ikyan state constituency, in Vandeikya Local government area.

Speaking in an interview Sunday in Makurdi, Wuhe who is contesting to represent Ikyan state constituency at the Benue State House of Assembly noted that the PDP led government in Benue is even struggling to pay salaries.

He said the Benue Cargo Airport which propaganda was made so much about has only remained on pages of newspapers, nothing that Nasarawa that made no such propaganda has already commissioned its Cargo Airport.

The former PDP member noted that he had to leave the party because of lack of internal democracy.

Wuhe further said though he is now in PRP, a minority party in Benue, he has all chances to win election in the constituency, noting that people have changed their perception and they now vote for candidates instead of political parties as before.

“The PDP government has grossly under performed and to worsen the matter, it has brought in a candidate that is not saleable.

“I have more achievement on ground in my constituency than the Speaker their Governorship Candidate who has represented the people for close to twelve years now.

“The Speaker is from the same constituency with me and I can speak with all authority that he is a misfit and is not qualified to lead Benue as governor. I am more popular in my constituency than him even without holding an elective position.
