Biafra: Miyetti Allah warns MASSOB against Fulani herders

A Fulani socio-cultural association, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, has warned the Movement for the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), agitating for Biafra not to temper with the activities of Fulani herdsmen in the South-east.
National president of the association, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, gave the warning in Abuja at the weekend.
He said the humiliation of Fulani herders in their region will create disunity in the country.

According to Bodejo, “the MASSOB believed because our President Muhammadu Buhari is a Fulani man, they want to use that opportunity to bring about Biafra that has long been forgotten.
“Why is it that they did not come up with their agitation during President Goodluk Jonathan’s regime? I don’t think we will accept that, they should know that Fulani pastoralist are all over the country minding their businesses, so far we are back up by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to transact our businesses any were in the country.

He called on the federal government to deal with any groups that are out to disrupt the unity and progress of the country especially that the country is clamouring for peace to return reign.
The Fulani leader advised every groups irrespective of their tribes support Buhari’s administration to move Nigeria forward.
He added that any groups that temper with Fulani Pastoralist, they would be force to take a legal action against them. “We are peace and loving people that mind our businesses.”
The Miyetti Allah said that MASSOB activities were alleged to had disrupted the peace in the cattle market Elelenwa Junction, Port Harcourt, where property were alleged to had been looted.
“We commend the security agencies for their prompt action in taking necessary measure that brought peace the area.
