National Commission for Colleges Education (NCCE) has approved all the courses offered by Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the College’s Public Relations Officer, Hajiya Fatima Ahamad, indicating that the approval was sequel to the visit paid to the college by the NCCE team between July 2 and 7, 2017, for the purpose of conducting both institutional and programmes accreditation exercise.
The result of the accreditation, the statement added, was contained in a letter to the provost of the College, Professor Bashir Muhammad Fagge, which was delivered on December 19, 2017.
According to the statement, the current result of the accreditation has maintained the College’s proficiency to run Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) courses in Technical, Vocational, Business, Science, Primary Education, Adult, Non- formal and Special Needs Education.
It, however, stated that the college would continue to produce “confident and dynamic teachers that will successfully perform teachers’ roles as enshrined in the National Policy on Education and fit in to the world of work and Degree programs in their chosen lines of endeavours.”
It also said the accreditation status approved the college capacity to run the accredited courses for the next five years.
It stressed that the successes of the exercise wouldn’t have been possible without the unique leadership style of the provost, Prof. Bashir Muhammad Fagge, coupled with the hard work and dedication of the management, staff and the entire college community.
