Bindow launches campaign, inaugurates administrators to mobilise voters

Governor Bindow Jibrilla of Adamawa State, has inaugurated 50 development area administrators to mobilise the people at the grassroots towards his re- election bid come 2019.

Inaugurating the areas administrators yesterday in Yola, Bindow stated that, his decision to appoint them was because of politics, taking into consideration the fact that, very soon 2019 election activities will kick start in the country.

He urged them to go back and mobilise their people at the grassroots and enlighten them on the achievements of his administration in the last two years, stressing that, he has fulfi lled 60% of his electioneering campaign promises to the people of Adamawa state.

According to him, from now hence forth he will concentrate his administration attention to the people at the grassroots.

Bindow who described most of his opponents as ‘drunks’ who need their heads to be re- examined attributed their opposition against his administration to his refusal to share the resources of the state to individuals as was the case under the previous administrations in the state.

He further noted that within two years in offi ce he has constructed over 200 roads across the state, saying the reason why he is succeeding is because he is not a thief nor greedy.

Th e governor who said he is not desperate for-election explained that the inability of his administration to settle the outstanding salaries of primary school teachers and health workers in the state was not his own making as he inherited the problem.
