Birnin Kudu College hails Dangote on projects

Africa’s richest and President, Dangote group of companies, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has been commended for taking the bull by its horns in the execution of critical projects in his own secondary school, the Birnin Kudu Unity College, Jigawa state.
The commendation was made by the President of the college old students association (BIKOBA), Nuhu Isah Abdullahi in his speech during the annual meeting of the association held at the school conference hall yesterday.
Pharmacist Abdullahi have this to say, “I am pleased to say that Alhaji Aliko Dangote president Dangote group of Companies .a member of BIKOBA Class 78 took the responsibility to execute all the needed projects.”
He said that few months after the 2016 annual general meeting, projects started in earnest and were currently on going, saying based on the report by the school authority, 85 per cent of the projects have been completed, adding that what remained to be completed were the 30 number toilets and additional two boreholes.
The president stated that his administration focused on achieving the following four goals; improving teaching and learning environment of the college, providing support to the critically sick and incapacitated members, fostering unity and peaceful coexistence among members, and acquiring the full ownership of BIKOBA secretariat annex in Dutse.
Abdullahi pointed out that if not by donations from concerned members, the running of the association could be difficult and therefore urged executive officers of class chapters to pay special attention to payment of such annual dues.
In his remarks, Jigawa state governor, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, who was represented by his deputy, Barrister Ibrahim Hassan Shatiman Hadejia, pledged that is government was ever ready to boost the education sector and commended the effort of BIKOBA executive for convincing members of the association to come to the aid of the college.
