Blueprint correspondent emerges Bauchi NUJ Fin Sec

Blueprint Newspaper Correspondent, Malam Najib Sani, has been elected financial secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalist NUJ, Bauchi state council in the union’s election conducted last Saturday.

Najib, aged 29, is the youngest NUJ official in the state. He was financial secretary of the correspondent’s chapel from June 2014 to December 2016 when he resigned to vie for same position in the state council where he was elected unopposed.
Inaugurating, the newly elected officials,  Deputy National President of the Union, Comrade Muktar Gidado, urged them to be guided by the constitution of the union in order to promote professionalism among members and to consolidate on the achievements of their predecessors.

In her remarks, the vice President of the union in charge of the north east Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim, congratulated the winners and called on them to imbibe the spirit of love, tolerance and honesty in their affairs.
Responding on behalf other elected officers, new chairman, Malam Ibrahim Malam Goje, thanked the zonal and national leadership of the union for their contributions to the success of the election even as he pledged to abide by constitutional provisions in the discharge of duties.
