Bodejo thumbs up Buhari on re-opened borders

National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, on Friday commended President Muhammadu Buhari for re-opening the nation’s borders.

Bodejo, who made the commendation while speaking with newsmen at the association’s headquarters in Tudun-Wada, Karu local government area of

Nasarawa state, said the re-opened borders would re-boost the nation’s economy and end the recession.

He said: “As a businessman, I commended President Buhari for giving this great order to re-open our borders; with this directive, our economy would bounce back, prices of food items would also drop to enable the poor masses to enjoy their lives and the recession would now go back to where it had been.”

Bodejo advised the federal government to monitor the borders thoroughly to avoid bringing in items that would cause unnecessary tension in the country.

On the security situation of the country, Bodejo urged the government to put in more efforts to adequately protect the lives and property of Nigerians.

According to him, the government should ensure that peace, love and tolerance return to the country, especially the areas ravaged by bandits.

He also appealed to the Inspector General of Police to provide security for Fulani herdsmen across the country, noting that they contributed to the country’s economy.

“Nigeria is a one country that we love; we should not allow insecurity to divide us. Let us return to peace, love and tolerance for a greater Nigeria.”
