Bogoro commissions projects worth N1.5 bn in FUD

The Executive Secretary, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Professor Suleiman Alias Bogoro has commissioned projects worth N1.5 billion at the Federal University Dutse (FUD), Jigawa state.

The projects commissioned included 8 lectures halls and laboratories of varying capacities that can accommodate more students during.

 Professor Bagoro, expressed happiness over the judicious used of the intervention fund provided to the university, saying it always gladdened his heart to identified himself with a good universities administrators.

Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of FUD, Professor Fatima Batul Muktar said the projects were executed under the TETFund 2013 special intervention and 2016 normal intervention projects.

She said all the five projects under the special intervention were for the faculty of basic medical science which included, a hall at the departments of anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, public health and twin lecture theatre and those under normal intervention includes, twin laboratories for chemistry and microbiology as well as school for post graduate studies.

“Under 2013 special intervention project, TETFund executes projects in departments of anatomy at the cost of N231 million, biochemistry at the cost of N225 million, sociology at the cost of N225 million, public health at the cost of N282 million and twin theatre halls at the cost of N192 million”.

“Under 2016 normal intervention, TETFund, constructed twin chemistry laboratories with 120 capacity each at the cost of N143 million, microbiology laboratory with a capacity of 100 students at the cost of N29 million and the school of post graduate studies at the cost of N178 million”, she said.
