Boko Haram kills 27 in Borno village

No fewer than 27 people were reportedly killed in an ambush by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram in Gajibo village, about 12km away from Dikwa town located along Gamboru Ngala highway , Borno state.
The suspected Boko Haram terrorists were said to had attacked a convoy of about 60 vehicles transporting passengers and goods from North-east Nigeria to Chad, Niger , Cameroon , Gabon and other neighbouring countries .
Other anonymous sources who spoke to newsmen said “the number of victims were yet to be known except they visited the scenes of the attack.
But we were told that more than 30 vehicles were turned to ashes” he added.
However, a member of the Nigerian Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) at Muna Grage, confirmed the incident to newsmen.
He added that they were waiting for the military to be at the scene to evacuate the corpses and convey their remains to a hospital in Maiduguri, the state capital .
Up to the time of this report there is no statement from the authorities confirming the incident.
