Boko haram suffers ‘heavy’ casualty in Sambisa, Algarno forests

Boko Haram terrorists Wednesday suffered heavy casualty in their hideouts in Sambisa forest and Alagarno forest areas of Borno state, Defence Headquarters has said

Nigerian Air Force jets and attack helicopters, according to Coordinator Defence Media Operations, Major General John Enenche, hit a compound concealed under thick vegetation and housing some of the terrorists leaders and fighters in the Alagarno forest, killing several of the terrorists in the process.

Enenche said in a statement Thursday that the compound, which is about  2.3Km North East of KAFA, was being used by the terrorists to coordinate their activities.

Prior to the air strikes a surveillance helicopter had spotted some  terrorists under the dense vegetation of the locations, Enenche said, as he gave the assurance that the military would not relent it’s efforts “until all enemies of the Nation are neutralised and normalcy is restored to all troubled zones.”
