Bongo’s strike sinks Wada Boys in Abuja

Second half lone strike from substitute Endurance Osaghai popular known as Bongo was all that the Supreme Court FC needed to edge out visiting Kogi United at the match day 4 of the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The only goal of the encounter decided at Old Parade Ground, Garki Area 8 in Abuja, came in the 48th minute of play after a well calculated throw-in from Ernest Governor separated both sides who are currently sharing six points each out of four matches played.

Speaking shortly after the game, head coach, Henry Haggai, expressed happiness with the performance of his team but maintained that his aim before the game started was to score early goal.

He said: “Personally, I had my target but the goals couldn’t come even though one of our goals was disallowed.
“My next target is to start getting away points. So far in this game, my boys played to instructions. They didn’t follow their opponents to play long passes. My immediate need is to work on our finishing. There is still some work to do in the midfield. Surely, we will get there.

Goal scorer, Osaghai, who was full of happiness after coming from bench to score, believed that his side would do more to post better performance in subsequent games.
