Borderless intellectuals laud NCDC DG’s award

The Committee of Intellectuals Without Borders (CIWB) has commended the Geneva conferment of the award of Knight of the International Order of Civil Defence, on Nigeria’s Commandant General, Civil Defence Corps, Muhammadu Gana Abdullahi.

It said Abdullahi’s re-organisation of private guards in line with global best practices and having collaboration with other sister organisations around the world, is a giant feat worth appreciating.

The committee made the commendation in a press release jointly signed by its president, Fatai Ibrahim, and Secretary, Mariam Raji, made available to Blueprint Sunday in Jos.

“This is no surprise to some of us who have been following numerous giant strides of the Commandant General put in place since his assumption of office, geared towards taking the corps to the next and desired levels, in line with the next level agenda and vision of President  Muhammadu Buhari,” it said.

The committee said Abdullahi, is a round peg in a round hole, whose intellectual sagacity, dexterity, tenacity and commitment to service delivery has added value to the next level and people’s oriented programs and policies of President Buhari’s lead administration.
