Borno: APC suspends Kumalia over anti-party activitism

The All Progressives Congress (APC),  Borno state chapter, Monday, suspended a former member of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Hon. Barrister Mohammed Umara Kumalia, for alleged anti-party activities. 


Kumalia was also 2007 AC governorship candidate and former Minority Leader of the House of Representatives on the platform of the defunct ANPP before defecting to the Action Congress of Nigeria.


The letter of suspension made available to journalists in Maiduguri was  jointly signed by APC ward chairman, Alhaji Modu Gofama, and secretary, Alhaji Mohammed Kagu of Limanti Ward, Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC). 



The suspension letter read: “That you instituted various actions against the party in the following courts contrary to Article 21 (2) (XI) of the APC Constitution, 2022 as amended.



“Consistent engagement in acts that are inimical to the party and other anti-party activities contrary to Article 21 (2) of the APC Constitution 2022 as amended; gross indiscipline towards the party contrary to Article 21 (2) of the APC Constitution 2022 as amended.



“In view of the foregoing, that you Hon. Barr. Mohammed Umara Kumalia of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Limanti Ward, Maiduguri, Borno State are hereby suspended from the party forthwith, dated this 8th day of August, 2022.”
