Borno youths, students endorse Garba for Senate

By Baba Yusuf Abuja Youths and students under the umbrella of Discussion Forum have endorsed Alhaji Sanda Garba to represent Borno south Senatorial District. State chairman of the group, Sadiq Abubakar and the student leader, Mohammed Sani Hassan, in a statement jointly issued in Abuja yesterday, said the decision to support Garba was “borne out of his past records and his contributions to the development of Borno students and youths as a whole.” According to them, “we decided to support this dynamic politician having painstakingly appraise and follow his track records in the past.” The statement also stated that “due to the present situation of the constituency which he belongs to, there is the urgent need to present and support a person that will be able to turn around the fortunes of the indigenes of the area.” It read in part: “You will agree with us that this is time to present experienced statesmen and patriots that will assist in effective nation building and bring out the country from the present political situation and as well nurture this country to an enviable position.
“As youths and students leaders interested in the stability and development of the country and most especially Borno state, we are delighted to present to southern Borno people, Sanda Garba as a senator to represent Borno south people come 2019.
“Garba Sanda, based on his antecedents, has what it takes to move southern Borno to the next stage of development without rancor or discrimination.”
