Boxing: Sugar lures Mayweather, Pacquiao

Boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard has called on Floyd Mayweather to come out of retirement and face Manny Pacquiao in the ring one more time.

Despite both men being in their 40s, Leonard believes it would be a ‘great fight’ between the two.

‘Put it this way, it should be done. People will watch it’, he told TMZ.

‘It’s two guys in their 40s. When I was 40, I came back, I don’t know who it was against, but you had a different stage in your life, spiritually, physically, mentally.

‘He (Pacquiao) looked phenomenal (in his last fight).’

Pacquiao outpointed previously undefeated Keith Thurman to win the WBA welterweight world title in his last fight.

Mayweather has been out of the ring since beating Conor McGregor to reach the 50th win of his undefeated career.

The pair faced each other in May 2015, with Mayweather emerging victorious at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
