Brazil 2014: Chukwuemeka satisfied with Keshi’s selection

General manager of Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC, Alloy Chukwuemeka, is satisfied with Nigeria’s 23-man squad for the 2014 World Cup Finals, but criticised the exclusion of Ejike Uzoenyi.

Chukwuemeka, who is also the acting secretary of the Club Owners Association, described the winger as one of the best legs in the domestic scene, stating that followers of the domestic game will miss his presence in Brazil.
He, however, called on Nigerians to support the team, saying head coach Stephen Keshi has made a good selection.
“A good squad from Keshi, but we will miss the dazzling winger Ejike Uzoenyi, one of our local league best legs. I will personally miss him and I know many of our league followers will miss him as well.

“Let us fly with Eagles, kudos to Keshi, NFF and best of luck to the Eagles,” he enthused.
When questioned on the obvious lack of creativity in the five-man midfield selected, which is composed of four defensive midfielders and one striker, Chukwuemeka stated that the technical crew should be left to their choice, and should be supported nonetheless.
“It is purely a technical matter and for the fact that we are not coaches, we leave them to their choice and hope it gives us the desired result. All we owe them now is our supports,” he concluded
