Breaking: Organised labour rejects govs’ proposed N22,500, reverts to N65,000

The Organised labour in Nigeria has rejected the proposed N22,500 minimum wage by Nigeria Governor’s Forum as against N30,000 agreed in tripartite negotiation.

President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) , Ayuba Wabba who briefed newsmen at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, described the Governors’ Forum as a body unknown to Nigeria’s law, adding that all governors should return to their respective states and consult with workers rather than hide under the umbrella of the governors’ forum.

They however threatened to return to N65,000 initial proposal.
