Embattled President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki and 15 other senators elected on the platform of the APC have announced their defection from their party to the opposition PDP Tuesday during plenary. This has made the PDP the majority party in the Senate.
The others are Senators Tejouso, Shaaba, Gemade, Melaye, Shittu, Rafiu, Shitu Ubali, Isa Misau, Hunkuyi, Monsurat, Danbaba, Nafada, Nazif, Kwankwaso and Nyako.
It was learnt that Saraki had been on the National Assembly Complex premises long before the plenary began.
