Breaking: 27 kidnapped Kagara students regain freedom, head to Niger govt house


The 27 abducted students of Government Science College Kagara have been released.

They were abducted last Wednesday,

Details of where the boys were released from was not made public but Blueprint gathered that they are on their way back to Government House Minna at about 8.40pm on Sunday.

The students were abducted, Wednesday, at about 3am during which one of them, Benjamin Habila, was shot dead.

However, there is no official statement on the release of the boys, staff and families except the earlier assurance Sunday afternoon that efforts to get them released have been intensified.

Blueprint had on Saturday reported how Shiekh Gumi negotiated their release after holding intense talks with bandits inside the forest.
