The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Wednesday, disclosed that nine patients have since been discharged at the COVID-19 isolation and treatment centre in the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH).
With the latest developmetn, a total of 20 numbers of people have been discharged so far in Abuja.
Blueprint gathered that the patients were discharged early on Wednesday morning having satisfied all necessary scientific protocols preparatory to their being certified COVID-19 negative.
Seven of the patients were discharged from UATH while two were discharged from the National Hospital.
According to the Senior Special Assistant media to the FCT Minister Malam Abubakar Sani, “We are happy to announce that nine patients were discharged from UATH Isolation Center, Gwagwalada today. The remaining pateints are clinically stable and responding well to treatment.”
The FCT administration had discharged 11 persons in two batches and expressed optimism that more patients would be discharged.
