Breaking – Abandoned projects: Reps talk tough, summon CBN gov, NDDC board

The House of Representatives are talking tough over abandoned projects in the oil rich Niger Delta region on a day it held inaugural investigative hearing in Abuja.

At the hearing room, none of the officials was available.

Their unavailability triggered the federal Lawmakers to summon the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele; Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Nelson Braimbraifa, and all the directors of the commission.

They have been threatened with an arrest warrant by the legislators in line with Section 89 of the Nigeria constitution, if they fail to comply with the latest order scheduled for Friday.
