Breaking: Abducted catholic priest regains freedom

The catholic priest, Revd. Prof. Marcel Izu Onyeocha, abducted by gunmen along Ihube, Okigwe local government area in Imo state has been released.

The Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO) Imo state command, SP Orlando Ikokwu, confirmed the latest development to Blueprint Monday evening.

He however, made it clear that he did not have details of his release, especially on whether a ransom was paid before he was released or not.

Revd. Onyeocha who is a lecturer in the faculty of humanities, Imo state University was said to be on transit from Enugu to Owerri when the incident occurred.
