Just when efforts are on to secure release of abducted school boys, teachers and other staff, gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked Madaka, a nearby community to Kagara.
Kagara is a community hosting government science college where students and others were kidnapped on Wednesday.
Both communities are located inside Rafi local government area of Niger.
It is also where the bandits were said to have first camped before proceeding to the school.
The fresh attack, according to TheCable took place at about 2pm when armed bandits waylaid villagers en route to a marriage ceremony along Madaka-Kagara road.
The gunmen subsequently ambushed another set of people returning from Madaka market.
The state police command are yet to make any comment concerning the latest incident.
