Breaking: Another fire outbreak wrecks havoc in Lokoja

Fire has engulfed a popular electronic shop in the early hours of Saturday in Lokoja, Kogi state capital.

The incident is happening barely four days after oil tanker explosion claimed about 23 lives in Lokoja.

Blueprint learnt that the fire started at about 5am on Saturday.

An eyewitness account revealed that the timely intervention of youths in the area, as well as other traders could not save the situation.

Sources close said the fire might have been caused by an electrical spark due to fluctuation in power supply.

As at the time of filing this report, the men of fire service were yet to visit the scene which led angry youths in the area to descend and destroy the office of Federal Fire service located lokoja earlier on Saturday.
