Breaking: Another Umahi’s aide resigns in Ebonyi

Immediate past Chairman of Afikpo North local government area, Hon. Ogbonnia Oko Enyim, has asked the Ebonyi state governor, Engr. David Nweze Umahi, to stop interfering in his family affairs.

In a terse letter dated March 30, obtained by Blueprint Wednesday afternoon, Enyim resigned his appointment as Special Assistant to the Governor on School Monitoring, citing alleged interference of the state governor in his family affairs.

The letter reads: “I most humbly write to appreciate Your Excellency, Engr Dr David Nweze Umahi, for the opportunity to serve in your government in various capacities and currently as SA School Monitoring, Afikpo North LGA. It has been a great experience serving under you.

“Your Excellency, Sir, your current dispositions towards me has made me to realise that I have no place any longer in your government.

“Your Excellency, your preference to my younger sister to me for reasons best known to you has compelled me to take this decision; in order to avoid rancour and acrimony.

“Your Excellency, against every known tradition and good conscience, your decision to interfere and deny me my right as the first son to organise a befitting burial for my late father, in line with my already concluded arrangements, after spending fortunes, is not acceptable to me.

“I hereby resign my appointment as SA under your administration with immediate effect. Kindly accept the assurances of my warmest regards. Thanks for everything.”
