An All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker representing Wurno in the Sokoto State House of Assembly, has emerged the new speaker of the state assembly.
Mr Achida defeated the anointed candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Abdullahi Garba Sidi, representing Gwadabawa South constituency.
