Breaking: APC suspends youth leader in Nasarawa

The All Progressives Congress (APC) youth leader in Nasarawa state Abdullahi Masi has been suspended.

Ciroma ward chairman of the party, Mohammed Ramalan, announced the suspension in a press briefing on Sunday, in Lafia.

He stated that the youth leader had connived with some members of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to flout the rules and regulation of the party through thuggery that disrupted the peaceful coexistence in the state.

Ramalan alleged that the said youth leader conspired with other members of NNPP to physically assault some respected sons of the party and others prominent personalities at the meeting of the party in the presence of the state governor Abdullahi Sule.

He also alleged that the youth leader conspired with others at large to carry arms and other dangerous weapons and went round Lafia metropolis tearing and defacing all posters and campaign banners of  governor Abdullahi Sule and his deputy Dr. Emmanuel Agwadu Akabe.

The ward chairman explained that the actions of the youth leader contravened Article 21 (A) (i), (ii), (viii) and (viii) of the APC constitution (April 2014 as amended) and in order to bring sanity in our party.

“Hon. Abdullahi Masi ( APC ) state youth leader hereby, suspended from the party upon the receipt of report from the disciplinary committee,” he said.

He said disciplinary committee would be set up to properly investigate the matter with a view to bringing culprits to book.
