Breaking: Bandits kidnap 7 children of APC chair, injure others in Zamfara

No fewer than seven children belonging to the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa’s faction, Alhaji Sani Gyare Kadauri were kidnapped by the group of suspected unrepentant bandits in Kadauri Village under Jabaka district in Maru local government council of Zamfara state.

Narrating the ordeal in an interview with Blueprint, Friday, Alhaji Sani Gyare Kadauri said the Bandits invaded Kadauri village around 2:00am on Friday and went straight to his personal house and kidnapped his six children.

According to him, the Bandits also moved to his friend’s house Alhaji Sani Yellow and kidnapped his daughter in person of Amina Sani Yellow and rush to the yet to be ascertain destination.

“I was in my house in Gusau, when they came to our village, the Bandits went straight to my house to kidnap me but they saw my six male children and a daughter of my close friend”. He said.

He further stated that the Bandits shot one Rabi’u Danmaidamma during the invasion and now currently receiving medical attention at the Federal Medical Center Gusau.

Alhaji Sani Gyare also lamented that no security personnel deployed to the area to restore peace, appealing to the federal and state government to deploy more troops to the area for peace to thrive.

“Both federal and Zamfara state government should fear God Almighty and protect the live and properties of it’s citizens,” he said.

Early last year, Zamfara state overnment in collaboration with the then Commissioner of Police CP. Usman Nagoggo had initiated a peace reconciliation process with Bandits group, while some of them refused to embrace the process till then.

When contacted, the state police command public relations officer Sp Muhammad Shehu said they were yet to get feedback from Maru local government divisional Police office on the matter.
