Manchester United will pay no more than £50million to sign Jadon Sancho this summer – less than half Borussia Dortmund’s asking price.
The German giants recently revealed they would only sell the England winger for £117m.
But United have come out and said they won’t go a penny over £50m with clubs reeling from the financial repercussions of coronavirus.
Sky Sports report a senior official at Old Trafford confirmed their limit on the England man.
Sancho, 20, is hopeful of a return to England after quitting Manchester City in an £8m deal in 2017.
A host of European giants, including Premier League champions Liverpool, are rumoured to be interested.
But United were deemed to be the only club with enough financial clout to pull off a move this summer.
Yet the latest news suggest Dortmund will have to cave to a much lower valuation or keep hold of Sancho, with the Red Devils standing firm at £50m.
