Breaking: Edo declares COVID-19 patient wanted, extends curfew

A nursing mother who tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has been declared missing by Edo state government after she went incommunicado on suspicion that she might have contracted the disease. 

Governor Godwin Obaseki who disclosed this at a media briefing identified the woman as Mrs. Amaka Okoro.

According to Obaseki, “She (patient) is a nursing mother, who has a baby that is already coughing. 

“She lives at 2 Atoe Idubor Str, off 2nd Ugbor, Benin City. She has been unreachable since her results returned positive.”

Meanwhile, the state government had extended dust-to-dusk curfew by two weeks.
