Former Rector of Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana, Professor Francis Otunta, is dead.
Otunta, who is also the immediate past Vice Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), reportedly died in a road accident yesterday along the Afikpo-Abakaliki expressway.
When Blueprint visited the family home at Nkpoghoro, in Afikpo North local government area of Ebonyi state, mourners were seen commiserating with family members, while social media is agog with news of the untimely death of the popular mathematician.
