Breaking: Ex-Zamfara deputy gov Wakkala dumps APC


The Zamfara state former deputy governor, Malam Ibrahim Wakkala has finally dumped the All Progressive Congress (APC) and joined the ruling party in the state, Peoples Dimocratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle.


Malam Ibrahim Wakkala stated this today (Wednesday) while addressing Journalists over his decision.


According to him, he has already wrote and served a notification letter to both state and National Headquarters of his former party leadership the APC as well as his former Boss, the former Governor Abdulaziz Yari about his decision.


“I specifically decided to leave APC the party I belongs to and joined the Peoples Dimocratic Party PDP the ruling Party under the leadership of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle for his kind exemplary leadership and open door policy for the Development of our dear state”. Malam Wakkala stated.


According to him, after do consultations with all the relevant stakeholders, his family and well wishers, he chooses to leave APC and joined the Peoples so as to join hands together and help Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle in all aspects of development particularly how to address the lingering insecurity bedivilling the state do to activities of armed bandits.


“We are all aware that Zamfara State is one of the state in the Northwest suffering with Insecurity for almost a decade and we must commend Governor Matawalle for his gearntstride for introducing the peace initiative which has yielded positive response and I joined PDP to see what I can contributed in that direction”. Wakkala stated. 


Malam Wakkala call on his supporters to come together and join Peoples Dimocratic Party the ruling party in the state under the leadership of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle for the Development of the state and remain good citizens for peace to thrive.
