Residents of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state capital woke up to shocking explosion around their vicinity.
The cause of the explosion was not ascertained until Governor Kayode Fayemi immediately led inspection team to the site.
Accompanied by the Commissioner of Police, Amba Asuquo and Chairman Council of Obas, Oba Ajibade Alabi, the Alawe of Ilawe, the governor witnessed that the incident was triggered by Police Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD).
As at the time of filling this report, there were no casualties except the damage to some government offices in the vicinity of the explosion.
