Breaking: FG impounds UK-based company aircraft for illegal commercial flight

The federal government said it has impounded an aircraft belonging to a United Kingdom-based company, Flair Aviation for contravening stated protocols.

The aircraft, according to the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, had received permission to only operate humanitarian flights into the country but was caught operating a commercial flight.

Sirika, while confirming the development via his verified official twitter handle explained that the crew of the flight were also being interrogated as there shall be maximum penalty for the offence.

According to Hadi Sirika, “Flair aviation, a UK company, was given approval for humanitarian operations but regrettably we caught them conducting commercial flights. This is callous! The craft is impounded, crew being interrogated. There shall be maximum penalty. Wrong time to try our resolve!”
