A former member of House of Representatives, Farouk Lawan, has been convicted by the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Apo, Abuja for receiving $500,000 bribe from a businessman, Femi Otedola.
Justice Angella Otaluka who convicted Lawan from Kano state announced a seven-year jail term on three count charges preferred against him by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC).
