A former sole administrator of Katsina state and Assistant Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Hamisu Ali Jos, has died.
Ali Jos was confirmed dead early Tuesday morning at a hospital in far away India.
Hon. Hamza Ali, Younger brother to late Ali Jos, confirmed his death to our correspondent.
“From Allah, we are and unto Him, we shall return. Our elder brother, former AIG Hamisu Ali, has reached his time after protracted illness in a hospital at India where he was receiving treatment since December 2019,” he said.
Late Ali Jos, served as AIG in Zone 2 in 1999. Before then, he was a Commissioner of Police in Katsina State Police Command.
Late Ali Jos also served as Katsina State sole administrator under late General Sani Abacha-led Military regime.
Hamza Ali, said late Ali Jos, died at the age of 78.
He left behind one wife and six children.
He said burial arrangement will be announced later.
