Breaking: Gunmen invade ex-CBN gov’s community, kill 3 Policemen, kidnap Obiano’s Commissioner

At least three policemen were shot dead, Wednesday night, as unknown gunmen attacked Prof. Charles Soludo, a former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, and currently an All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) gubernatorial aspirant.

Blueprint learnt that the attack occurred when Soludo was having an interactive session with some youths of his community, Isuofia, Aguata Local government area.

The National Secretary of All Soludo support groups and the Convener of Youths Earnestly Seek Soludo (YEES), Dr. Nelson Obinna Omenugha, who confirmed the attacks in a telephone interview, said the uproar led to stampede at venue of the event, Afuzo area of Isuofia.

According to Omenugha, the three policemen killed were Soludo’s security details, while the state Commissioner for Public Utilities, Engineer Emeka Ezenwanne, was whisked away by the men of the underworld.

He condole with the families of the demise officers and asked God to grand their soul internal rest.

As at press time, the ex-CBN governor’s  whereabouts remain unknown even as his contact was not connecting. 

However, the state police public relations officer, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, was yet to respond to the inquiry sent to him on the matter as at press time
