Breaking: Immigration begins recruitment, releases full list of shortlisted applicants


The civil defense, correctional, fire, and immigration services board has approved the commencement of the 2019/2020 recruitment exercise into the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).

Via its Twitter handle on Monday, May 10, the NIS announced that only 6,105 of the 45,323 candidates that sat for the Computer Based Test (CBT) were shortlisted by the board to take part in the final screening of credentials and physical fitness.

The service also noted that the successful candidates will be invited for the screening via text and emails on Monday, May 10, 2021.

The category of applicants has been directed to check for the names and screening details such as examination centres and guidelines for the exercise on the official website of the NIS: www.immigrationrecruitment.gov.ng.

Applicants are to print out their invitation slips which will be used to admit them into the screening venue on Monday, May 24.

Applicants are also advised to tender any complaints and report to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Crimes Commission (ICPC) or the NIS website.
