The Senatorial Candidate of Action Alliance(AA) in the 2019 Senatorial election for Okigwe Zone, Ndubuisi Emenike popularly known as Ototonwa is dead.
Our correspondent gathered that he died Sunday night after all efforts by health officials to rescue him from the bullet wound he sustained from the gun of his security aide who reportedly released a bullet accidentally while they were celebrating the victory of Mrs Miriam Onuoha of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who defeated the incumbent, Hon. Obinna Onwubuariri of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) in last Saturday’s Okigwe North Federal Constituency Re-run election.
Emenike, who was also an aspirant in the forth coming Senatorial election to be conducted in a few days’ time to find a replacement for the late Senator Ben Uwajumogu of Okigwe Zone had gone to Onuoha’s house to felicitate with her and other APC faithful since AA and APC in Imo State work together.
Imo Police Public Relations Officer, Orlando Ikeokwu, has also confirmed the arrest of the security aide and investigations have commenced to find out whether there was foul play in his death which looked mysterious.
