After much anxiety, Peter Itiku and Elizabeth Anyanacho have been declared champions of -67kg and -80kg of the just concluded Nigeria Taekwondo International Open.
Itiku beat Chukwudi Nzelu 18-13 to win Men -80kg category, Anyanacho had to battle harder before she defeated Judith Usifoh.
The fight between Anyanacho and Usifoh had tied up 8-8 on regulation (4th round) time before Anyanacho National Sports Festival) champion power on at sudden death to beat Usifoh (former National champion) 3-1.
Presentation of medals was underway as at the time of filling this report.
