There are indications that a militia commander with Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) simply identified as Ikonta has been killed.
Unconfirmed report revealed that the commander and some members of his group were killed on Saturday morning in Imo state.
Neither the Nigeria Police, nor any other security agency have confirmed the latest development.
There have been series of attacks on security formations particularly at Police stations in Imo state and other parts of southeast in recent times.
The attack also led to escape of almost 2000 prison inmates at Owerri Correctional Centre.
