Breaking: Kidnapped Abia APC Chairman regains freedom

Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Abia State Donatus Nwankpa has reportedly regained his freedom, four days after he was taken captive by unknown Gunmen.

Nwankpa, was said to have been released from captivity, on Thursday night, according to the APC spokesman in the state, Benedict Godson.

The party boss, was seized on Monday night by the kidnappers together with one of his aides, who was later released, on his way to Aba, on the eve of the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the state’s commercial capital.

In a passionate plea after the incident, the APC members had sent a passionate plea to the kidnappers, imploring them to release him unconditionally, saying he is a good man that is loved by all.

When contacted, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Chris Ezike, confirmed that Nwamkpa was released unhurt by his abductors.
