Residents on Sunday afternoon witnessed heavy gunfire as gunmen attacked Jos correctional facility.
Though, authorities are yet to confirm the latest development, eyewitness said the shootout lasted for sometimes which made people to scamper for safety.
In recent times, there have successful attacks on the various prison facilities in parts of the country with many inmates still at large.
Earlier this year, four inmates reportedly escaped from Jos Correctional centre.
