The Minister of Youth and Sports Development Chief Sunday Dare, Saturday morning, flagged off the Lagos Access Bank International Marathon race from the Surulere National Stadium, Lagos.
Despite his tight schedule at the on going Edo 2020 National Sports Festival, the Minister flew from Benin to Lagos in furtherance of his vow to support all sports in the country.
In 2020, the Ministry commenced a middle and long distance race programme to restore the culture of marathon race in Nigeria.
The Lagos Acess Bank International Marathon race which is in the 6th edition has won prestigious labels like the World Athletics Bronze, Silver and Elite Race.
