Breaking: Osinbajo escapes as ‘own’ Helicopter crashlands

A presidential helicopter conveying Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and some of his aides has crash-landed in Kabba, Kogi state.

The vice president and his aides came out of the helicopter unhurt.

This is the second time Osinbajo is surviving a helicopter crash. In June last year, his helicopter crash landed shortly after take-off in Gwagwalada where he attended graduation ceremony of 40 senior officers of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).

Senior Special Assistant to the President on zMedia and Publicity in the Office of the Vice President, Mr Laolu Akande, confirmed the incident.

“VP Osinbajo’s Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew (are) safe. He is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi state,” he said in a series of tweets on Saturday.

Akande also said in a statement that Osinbajo continued his engagements in Kabba after the incident where briefed the electorate on the Next Level plan of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
