Breaking: PDP big guns, supporters besiege INEC hqs, protest over presidential poll outcome

National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus, is about now leading the leadership and members of the party to the national headquarters of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) where they are protesting against the outcome of the just concluded presidential election.

The protest, which began from the secretariat of the party, located on Michael Opara Way, Wuse Zone 5, was accompanied by chants of ‘Give Us Our Mandate’, ‘Bujari Must Go’, ‘We voted for Atiku’.

The party’s candidate in the election Atiku Abubakar lost to President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with over three million votes margin.

But the party has rejected the outcome of the election which it said was militarised and the result fraught with irregularities.
