Breaking: Police nab 13 for kidnapping Magajin Daura in Katsina

The Nigeria Police have arrested 13 suspects in connection with the kidnapping of Magajin Garin Daura, Alhaji Musa Umar Uba.

Alhaji Uba was rescued by Police operatives on July 2, 2019, after 60 days in the custody of his kidnappers.

Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), DCP Frank Mba, made the disclosure while parading the suspects alongside 27 suspects arrested for kidnapping, armed robbery, cattle rustling, murder as well as attempted murder, Monday, at the SARS Headquarters in Abuja.

Mba, who stated that the gang were found to be from diverse States and cultural background, noted that the crime was powered essentially local criminals and collaborators.

The spokesperson said nine AK 47 riffles, six assorted weapons, 383 rounds of life ammunitions for different weapons mostly AK 47, three hand grenades as well as chemicals used to detonate explosives were recovered from the gang.

Speaking to journalists three members of the gang confessed to kidnapping the traditional rulers stating that they had demanded $30 million ransom for his release, however,  no ransom was paid.
