Breaking: Reps make u-turn, accept controversial petition from Nigerians in diaspora

After weeks of condemnation, the House of Representatives has finally accepted the petition of the Tiv people from Benue state resident in the United States of America, USA.

This was after a long period the Deputy Speaker, Idris Wase rejected the petition from the Mutual Union of Tiv in America, MUTA, brought before the House by the member representing Gwer East/Gwer West Federal Constituency, Mr. Mark Gbillah.

But the Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila who overuled Wase on Tuesday said the House cannot discriminate against any Nigerian wherever they may be in any part of the world.
