Breaking: Sowore, Adebayo plead not guilty, back in DSS custody

Convener of #RevolutionNow protest Omoyele Sowore, and his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare have been ordered by the Federal Court High Court in Abuja to be remanded in the custody of the Department of State Service (DSS) pending the hearing of his application for bail.

Both had pleaded not guilty to charges filed against them by the federal government.

Blueprint Judiciary correspondent reports that they were arraigned by the federal government on seven charges bordering on an alleged conspiracy to commit treason, money laundering, and insulting the President, among others.

They were brought to the court on Monday by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).

However, counsel to Sowore and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Femi Falana, was absent in court.
